Here’s another great idea from our friend and reader Christina.

Shortly after my second son was born, we would go for walks/bike rides together. I would push the stroller with the baby and my oldest son would ride his bike. In the beginning, he would tire sometimes before we’d made it around the block. When that happens, we put the front tire of his bike inside the lower pocket on the stroller and he takes a ride.

If I can talk him into it, he will still pedal which helps make it lighter for me to push. Now that he’s older, I sometimes push the double stroller and we do the same thing, only he sits in a regular seat when he tires. It’s a bit awkward, but much less so than carrying a toddler on your shoulders, a bike in one hand, and pushing a stroller.
