Several weeks ago, Katie mentioned that she jams out to Pandora on her computer. I had heard of it but tried it a few times. I don’t really carry my computer around since it needs to be attached to the charger but when I learned there was a free app for the iPod I was sold! We listen to the iPod constantly in the speakers we have for the kitchen. I made a station of Black Eyed Peas and Taylor Swift and rocked out to songs we wouldn’t have heard otherwise. It was fantastic!

Fast forward two weeks and my neighbor Kendall mentioned that she was listening to Pandora radio on a Disney station…I almost died! Kids music? Why hadn’t I thought of this? So I instantly created that station on my Pandora and was even more excited when it wasn’t just disney kids songs but also Broadway songs and songs from GLEE! It is a nice mix of kids songs without making me want to shoot something!

I love it! Definitely one of my favorite steals!!

Oh, we all do it! Isn’t that kind of the point of blogging? Sharing ideas and making a community? Anyway, in the past weekend alone I took ideas from 2 of my very favorite sites!

We restocked Ethan’s Sensory box using this idea from No Time For Flash Cards

Bird Seed and other fun spring treasures to find!

He loves this frogs that were buried!

And when I saw this yummy dessert on The Pioneer Woman, I knew we had to make it for Easter!

It was a huge hit! So festive!

So, what are your favorite blogs to steal from?

I am so lucky to have the cutest nieces and nephew EVER. (I’m not bias or anything!)

When I first met my extended family, Aidan was almost one and Moira was just 5 days old. (Oooo, she was so tiny and lovely and just an itty bitty bundle of sweetness but that is a completely different story) ANYWAY, Erin, my SIL, obviously had her hands full with TWO babies under one. I didn’t know her well enough to ask “So how the hell do you do it?” Hell, at like 5 days into having baby number 2, she probably didn’t even know she was doing it! I did notice though that she had Aidan signing. I don’t remember how many signs the 11 month old was doing but as I got to know Erin on the phone, she would mention he was signing “milk” “more” etc. She then taught Moira as she got older! It was nice that even though they couldn’t talk, she didn’t have to be a constant mind reader for the two of them!

I knew I was going to sign with E before I even had him! I liked how well it worked with Erin and her kiddos that Conor and I took Sign Language in college! We started with simple signs like “more” and “milk” and before long E was signing “please” “sleep” “eat” and so much more! It was so nice that he could tell me things! Ethan still remembers his signs and I am sure he will be helping any future siblings with the signing, just like Aidan and Moira (and Olivia!)!

I am very happy to say I stole this from Erin!!!

Ok, so this wasn’t an idea but since I am on vacation this week, we totally stole G’s coat!

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I’m from “up north” and I’m supposed to be ready for frigid weather. Well, when I moved away from the tundra, otherwise known as Nebraska, my baby was a baby and I hadn’t collected hand-me-down coats  yet. So we borrowed G’s lovely, clearanced coat!

Adorable isn’t it? (the coat, I already KNOW my kid is cute, lol)

And it is a VERY good thing too, this high yesterday was 9. Today it will be a balmy 14, WAHOO!

I’ll be back next week full of idea I steal from my sister-in-law when we get to Texas!

I don’t know if you’ve picked up on the fact that Katie and I are both Navy Wives but we are.  She grew up Navy and her husband joined after they were married. I grew up knowing very little about the Navy but then after my husband and I were married and had E, he joined and we moved to South Carolina. We met on this fabulous site called Cafemom and arranged to have our boys “play”.

G was like 4 months and E was 6 months.  They were swinging from the chandeliers and coloring with sharpies down the hall stared at each other for 2 hours while we chatted about all the normal things new moms talk about; labor, breastfeeding, diapers, etc. Who were we kidding? We didn’t really need the boys to play, WE needed to talk. I hadn’t made any friends since moving here and none of my friends in Nebraska had babies. I talked to my SIL CONSTANTLY but there is only so much a person 1,000 miles can do for me! We obviously hung out again and again and again and again! We attended many of the base events and even started a base play group using Cafemom!

Then, when most of the people on Cafemom moved, Katie suggested Meetup. She was already on the site and there were LOTS of people on there. Our own Cafemom people also joined and the meet ups quadrupled. We meet people weekly at the park, firestation or events around Charleston. It has been a lifesaver to keeping me busy while my husband has been working ridiculous hours!

Taking advantage of the internet to get out of the house is something I definitely stole from my neighbor!

If you have found us through my blog, you know I LOVE my cloth diapers! I use Bum Genius and can’t imagine using anything else on my baby’s bottom! What you wouldn’t know from my other blog is that I totally stole the idea from Katie! When I first met Katie, her teeny, tiny (compared to my 7 month old!) had a BIG BOOTY! It probably wasn’t the first time I met Gryphon that I noticed the booty but soon enough Katie shared with me how awesome AND EASY the BG diapers were!

I went home and told Conor that Ethans consistant diaper rashes could be over if we could get these cloth diapers. We googled them only to find out we could only afford 3! We bought them to try them out. We loved how easy there were to wash and put together, plus…. seriously…how cute is he???

I loved how the diapers were pocket diapers and how I didn’t have to fold anything. We also could stuff them all one night and be set for the next day or so. I slowly added to my collection and now have 11 BG 3.0 and 3 of their Flip Diapers!

I don’t think I would have ever been introduced these cloth diaper without stealing them from Katie!!
